Recovering sandboxed files from wherever

Hi,

Following fraudulent theft of about $6,000 by scammers from a neighbour, I decided to upgrade my security on my PC and put COMODO on as it was recommended.

Some background. I’m a PhD student and home for Christmas, returning to a Uni in England tomorrow. I’m using a desktop system here - which is not going with me.

I can’t find my files in Explorer.

I’ve been working on Internet enabled items (which got the green border) and am distressed that the items I have been working with - which I can see in the green-boxed apps - can’t be seen by my filing system and are not appearing when I back up directories on a USB stick.

*** Q: Why was there not a warning about this behaviour put on-screen for first-time users? ***

OK, what I need to do is recover all the sandboxed files (the shared space is empty; didn’t know I had to use it) and put it on the USB stick.

That’s 4 weeks work dotted about the PC.

Help!

Departure is in 20 hours.

HELP!

:frowning:

All OK…

Saw this post: unsandbox a folder/a bunch of files (https://forums.comodo.com/addedrejected-wishes-cis/unsandbox-a-foldera-bunch-of-files-t98414.0.html;msg711020#msg711020)

…which has saved me by looking in C:\VTRoot. And there my files were. Whew (i hope)

Please warn people with a “New User” message re sandboxed apps and files - I aged 1 year when I thought they were somehow trapped on this PC.
