Can anyone help? Is there a way to change settings so that the computer does NOT reboot after scanning without asking permission first? Each time I ask the program to run scan or even if it is scheduled the program reboots itself. I can’t count the times I am in the middle of doing something and it just reboots with no warning first. Thanks
What version of CIS are you using? Is this a clean or an upgrade install?

I feel it is due to some problem with installation or conflict with other programs. CIS 3.14 does not reboot (neither automatically nor under intimation - there could however be exception as some viruses could only be removed with special privilages) after virus scanning.
Which are the realtime security products you are using? You can also check for diagnostics (CIS-Miscellaneous-diagnostics) to check installation error.
