I just wanted to share my observation about the reboot crash I experienced with CMS on my HTC One M8
CMS periodically (or when launching privacy advisor) tries to write to the system partition (don’t know why).
If you are running HTC stock firmware your system partition is write protected. CMS tries to sudo and then the kernel panics because it detects a file system corruption as it is not able to write. Then the phone reboots for a fsck.
If you unlock your system partition or deny SuperUser to CMS there will be no crash.
Please fix if possible, or make writing to /system a checkbox option. What are you putting there anyway?
