This declares CD as an unsupported browser because it’s not Chrome
Technically it’s a plugin or extension plus background service. It’s increasingly ‘strongly recommended’ by some UK banks. (Which means they may deny legal liability for fraud if you don’t use it!)
Any way to get CD to present itself as Chrome?
Maybe ask Rapport to support CD instead of the other way around?
Doubt it. Their business model is to guarantee security to the banks, so I guess they’ll spend a lot of time and money testing each browser with their software, and won’t want to take any risks with third party variants.
So they only support the most widely used browsers at present.
There used to be a ‘browser strings’ setting in most browsers, maybe its present in CD somewhere?
Done so, without great hopes
if they’re concerned about security then they should support dragon. maybe dragon could add something like opera where you tell web pages to see opera as firefox, ie, chrome or whatever. maybe something like this could be done to tell addons to see a browser as another browser but i doubt it. they probably will support it eventually
It appears that this is a Chrome toolbar, not an extension, apols for error.
So I guess the question becomes can CD be made to accept Chrome toolbar installations. Or maybe some guidance on manual installation could be given.
