Question about League of Legends and Comodo

So I launched LoL (League of Legends) today and I got several alerts from Comodo Defense+. LoLLauncher.exe was trying to access several target applications memory processes: Comodo, dwn.exe, explorer.exe, Core Temp, runddl32.exe, Realtek Audio Driver, Windows Sidebar, RocketDock, Steam, n52te, Avast, Voddler, Graphics card drivers, Java update, Raptr, KeePass, AIMP2, Firefox, Firefox plugin container and dwmapi.dll

I can´t find any reason why LoLLauncher.exe should have access to these processes.
Last time when I send support ticket to Riot Games (=maker of LoL) they answered me that I should remove Comodo. What do you think?

I launched LoL today and after that Comodo warned me that LoL is trying to modify several protected registry keys:

(1) \REGISTRY\REGISTRY\MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\CA
(2) HKUS\S-1-5-21-796212132-608684960-1132745301-1000\Software\Policies\Microsoft

(4) HKUS\S-1-5-21-796212132-608684960-1132745301-1000\Software\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\CA\Cert ificates
(5) HKUS\S-1-5-21-796212132-608684960-1132745301-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings\ProxyOverride
(6) HKUS\S-1-5-21-796212132-608684960-1132745301-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings\ProxyServer
(7) HKUS\S-1-5-21-796212132-608684960-1132745301-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings\ProxyEnable
(8) HKUS\S-1-5-21-796212132-608684960-1132745301-1000\Software\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\My

So now I wanna know why LoL wants to modify this stuff. As far as I know some of those regitry keys are related to my computer proxy / DNS settings and some other stuff? Some those changes are pretty common for malware.

I recommend uninstalling Comodo. This is a program known to causes errors when trying to run LoL.

Best Regards,

I don’t think you should remove Comodo because of this. When the LoL program functions without a glitch when memory access is denied I would say don’t change a thing.

When the program malfucntions because of not having memory access you could grant the program memory access.

I want to add to that this statement by developer/programmer wj32 of Process Hacker:

or its meant as an anticheat technic.
but thats not your problem. i would block those memory stalkings.
if you would remove comodo, these attempts would happen silently. they would wish

as you are able to play the game, its not comodo who causes problems with that game. its the people who write to the game support “whats about these strange attempts?”. and the problem is that they cant give a reasonable answer

(Exception!: be carefull with steam… you paid for the games, so dont risk get a ban for blocking steam parts! if steam reads memory, its most probably not because its bad written.)

I have seen the same. LOL tries to do something with utorrent and stickynotes. What the fuck does LOL need to acces these programs? Is LOL a Spyware software? :azn:
