I’m going to buy a new amd phenom 2 quad core ;D and i was thinking: does CIS support quad cores? I mean like with scanning does it make use of the 4 cores?
I know some programs like dvd burner that convert avi to a playable dvd format does so i was thinking maby cis does too?
Nope.
I made a wish list post a while back that it would be nice if the scanning engine supported multiple processors. Aviras latest version supports multiple processors and enabling it saves me twenty minutes on my scan times.
CIS scans pretty fast, but why not make it even faster?
