Punkbuster

Once again Comodo Firewall causes Punkbuster (■■■■■■ but needed :() to kick me after ~1 minute from RTCW:Enemy Territory Servers.
I use only the Firewall, not Defense+. Other security applications are Avira AntiVir, Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition.
OS: Vista 32bit SP2 (Admin-User / UAC Disabled)
My System is:
Intel Q6600
ATi Radeon HD4850 (Catalyst 9.6)
4GB Ram
MSI P45 Neo-F Mainboard

I attached CIS Config Report

Can you please make PunkbusterA.exe and PunkbusterB.exe trusted in the firewall list?

See if that helps.

Is already. I always do that.

Edit: I killed all CIS Processes. Did not help.

That was fast.

Have your tryed puting the firewall in tranning mode?

That will make the firewall Default Deny.

Thanks

Have your tryed puting the firewall in tranning mode?
Did not help. It still kicks me.

Can you post a screenshot of the firewall events around the time you get kicked?

Thanks

Is it normal that it only shows blocked applications? If not how do I change it?

Yes it only shows blocked applications and incomming connections blocked.

Then there is no need for a SS because there is only Colin McRea Dirt blocked  And that does not use Punkbuster

Hmm i get he feelling we need to make rules for Punkbuster servers.

I will try to do this also since i have PB installed also.

Are you using the defualt Global FW rules or is it Block all mode?

I use the Global Rules.

Have you used Stelth Ports Wizard? Can you post a screenshot.

I did not use that Wizard.

Screenshot of what exactly?

Of the Global Rules. Firewall > Advanced > Network Security Policy >Global Rules.

Do you have the Game set as a trusted Application?

It is empty too. Maybe I misunderstood you.

You mean this is empty (look at picture)

Exactly. It is empty.

Ok please post this bug here:

https://forums.comodo.com/feedbackcommentsannouncementsnews_cis/comodo_internet_security_310102194530_bug_reports-t42039.0.html

Try a clean install following this procedure underneath (don’t take out the legay keys as they are a lot of work) and temporarily disable all security programs that are running in the background. Let us know if that helped or not.

Start with exporting your configuration to a folder that is not part of the Comodo folder under Program Files. This way you can restore your configuration after the reinstall.

Uninstall CIS and reboot. Then run Comodo System Cleaner to get rid off registry keys.

Then delete the Comodo folders under Program Files, Program Files\Common Files, C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ .
For Vista/Win7
Users%username%\appdata\local, Users%username%\appdata\roaming\ and \Users%username%\appdata\local\virtual store

To be even more thorough open Device Manager and set it to show hidden devices under menu option View. Then see if there are Comodo driver(s) left in non Plug and Play drivers. If so select the driver → click right → uninstall and reboot.

Now delete the following:
C:\boot.ini.comodofirewall (this file may not exist).
WARNING: Do not mistakenly remove the original “boot.ini”.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\cmdGuard.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\cmdhlp.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\inspect.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\guard32.dl

*Note: It may not be possible to remove these “LEGACY” keys. If you cannot delete them, leave them in the registry. However, I have subsequently found that you MAY be able to remove these keys in Safe Mode by using a third-party registry tool. To permanently remove them may also require modifying the Permissions for each key. See: https://forums.comodo.com/help_for_v3/comprehensive_instructions_for_completely_removing_comodo_firewall_pro_info-t17220.0.html;msg119226#msg119226

Now you should be good to go

If you still need help just ask!

I removed CIS and tried it again.
Punkbuster does not kick me anymore.

I will install CIS again now and try again after that.

Dont import you configuration.
