CIS version: COMODO Internet Security 6.0.264710.2708
OS version: Windows 7 x64
What you did: When you click on CIS pop up alert for more information, new window always opens behind CIS's pop up alert. It is annoying, it goes back from version 5 and I can't believe nobody noticed it and fixed it.
A screenshot illustrating to GUI problem is attached

Hmm, it seems to be fixed on dual monitors… or something has changed on my system, because the properties window opens on the secondary screen (attached screenshot). I can imagine this is still a problem for those with only one monitor so indeed, not fixed.
SanyaIV, thank you for noting that it appears fixed for dual monitors. I have noted that in the tracker, but explained that the issue still remains for those using only one monitor.
It appears the issue is back for me when I use dual monitors… I’m guessing CIS might not have been opening the properties window to the right but rather it was an “issue” with something else.
I think I know what it is now, the alert I was using before was for a program trying to start another program and apparently the properties window for the left program in the alert (the program trying to execute the other program) will be opened under the alert a tiny but to the right, while the properties window for the right program (the program being launched) will open under the program but quite a bit more to the right and since they’re so close to the corners I think they snap to the closest corners and for the left program that would be the bottom right corner for the left screen and for the right program that would be the bottom left corner of the left screen.
Please observe that the alert window has been moved AFTER getting up the properties window in the first screenshot.
In the second screenshot it was moved BEFORE getting up the properties window.
Okay, but it seems like for the default position for alerts this now fixes the problem for dual monitors as it will move the second to the other monitor due to the fact that by default it is put at the bottom-right of the first monitor.
However, those with only one monitor will still see them stacked on top of each other. Am I interpreting this correctly?
If you don’t move the CIS alert window, the program in the red box will always open on the left screen under the alert, the program in the blue box will always open on the right screen. It doesn’t matter which order you open them in.
In case there is only one program then it will open on the left screen under the alert.
The devs have informed me that the resources needed to change this behavior are too high for the benefit it would provide for the majority of forum users. Thus, this will not be fixed. I will move this to Resolved.
