Problems with certificates [split topic]

Maybe browsers have improved their security systems and not allowed mixed connections or download.comodo.com not accessible

please elaborate. What can I do to access these sites?
However, the update function in Comodo firewall can access through “http://download.comodo.com” but not “https://download.com.com”. This seems like a certificate issue , which has happened before.
This failure really discourage potential new users of Comodo Firewall. Imagine, you follow the instructions to download and then try to install but fail. What will this do to the potential new users?

Try to re-cap the problem:

1. add this line to the host file : 178.255.86.194 download.comodo.com
   a. Running the installer will get
   " Failed to initiate the installer. Please check your Internet connection …
   Error 12037 . The date in the certificate is invalid or has expired.

b. Running update in Comodo firewall will get

Error: 0x80072f05 - The date in the certificate is invalid or has expired

2. a. If the “https” is changed to “http”, the update will work
   b. if the https://download.comodo.com" is changed to “https://cdn.download.comodo.com”, then :Download websites database" will get an error.

3. a. Removing this line “178.255.86.194 download.comodo.com” in the host , running the installer will get
   " Failed to initiate the installer. Please check your Internet connection …
   Error 12175 . Content decoding has failed.

b. Running the update will get

Error: 0x80072f8f - Content decoding has failed

4. Checking my record, it was reported and solved in early June. But NOW it comes back

I tested it in Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge, all newest versions.
All browsers report 404 Not Found error with the page download.comodo.com.
The page cdn.download.comodo.com works fine in all browsers.
I am in Thailand if that helps.

Does not work for me either, it gives “404 Not Found”.
Checked with Firefox and with Tor Browser with many different circuits so request origin does not matter.

still no working this morning. Same problem. But when I try to download a new copy of the installer from
http://download.comodo.com/cis/download/installs/2000/partners/cmd_fw_installer.exe
I was sent to cn-download.comodo.com/…
And the certificate belongs to download.comodo.com - as I recollect. I try to re-produce the error and get a screen shot, but fail. And this could be the problem.

get a 404 when running https://download.com.com on firefox,opera, brave, MS Edge (chromium).

My antivirus databases have not updated for almost 2 months
Using version 12.2.2.7036 (downloaded it as a RC I think)
Virus Database 32413
Cannot download CIS betas or stable, gives me a SSL cert error and even when I tell my browser to “accept risk and continue” it gives me a nginx error “file not found”

I’m sure others are having this problem, and I’m sorry that I don’t have time to sift through a bunch of forum posts right now - just letting you guys know I’m having this issue too.

yes, it runs ok. The update needs to run through cdn.comodo.com, however.
One more details: when I ran the uninstaller after the removal through the add/remove function of windows 10, the uninstaller asked me to reboot twice so I guess it is doing something.

P.S. I use only the Firewall, so I cannot speak for the AV. But it seems like nothing is downloaded for the FW through “http://download.comodo.com” in the past 2 weeks when I start to work on this issue.

Thank you for reporting.You can’t able to download beta versions because those binaries are moved.Please check with this.
Make sure that did you modified your host entries.
