I’ve just installed v3 successfully, and all seemed well until the client computer in my 2 PC network was switched on. The network itself operated properly - each computer could see each other and exchange files, etc, but the client can no longer connect to the internet. The problem appears to relate to the firewall blocking calls to the host from the client originating from svchost.exe. I’m not expert enough to know how to fix this, so any help would be appreciated.
In the meantime, I’ve run a system restore so that I’m back on v2 and the ICS is running perfectly again.
By the way, it would have been helpful if the upgrade procedure warned that all settings, etc in v2 would be lost. I’m guessing there are good reasons, but the fag of setting everything up again is something I would prefer to leave until I have some time on my hands.
I am having similar problems. I can establish a connection to my WiFi router, but can’t hit the internet. Everything was working fine until Comodo upgraded itself this morning.
I have a broadband connection direct to my PC and am using Internet Connection Sharing and have a WiFi router connected to the PC. I can’t connect my Broadband service direct to my Router due to the design of the interface (USB Wireless Air Card) so I have to do it this way.
I set up a trusted network, but I see some of the same svchost errors as you.
I had hoped the new version would retain all my previous settings. Is this not the case? If not, I wish I had known that before I upgraded.
Likewise, I wish this thing would have kept my previous settings. What a mind boggling nightmare to redo all my customs. I’m just doing a system restore instead
