Problem with Multiple User Accounts and Safe Deletion

I installed version 1.1.63928.28 of CSC on a computer running Windows XP SP3 32 bit which is set up with a number of user accounts. Security software installed is CIS, Super Anitispyware, Malwarebytes Anti-malware and Sophos Anti Rootkit.

CSC so far works OK under the user account which was used to install it but is was obvious that scans under that log in were not including documents and registry entries belonging to the other user accounts.

I logged in to one of the other user accounts which has administrator rights and ran registry and disk scans with Safe Deletion on. The log entries for these scans are:

[ 20.02.09 10:19:19 ] COMODO Registry Cleaner - Starting Scan
[ 20.02.09 10:23:14 ] COMODO Registry Cleaner - Scan Finished

[ 20.02.09 10:37:41 ] COMODO Disk Cleaner - Starting Scan
[ 20.02.09 10:37:42 ] COMODO Disk Cleaner - Scan Finished

Following the disk clean scan I selected ‘yes’ to proceed to reboot with Safe Deletion on however no CSC cleanup option dialogue appeared when the reboot and login was completed. I tried to disk scan again under the same user login but got the following warning:

Please restart your computer in order to finish the Safe Deletion Process, so a new Scan & Clean process can take place!!

Subsequent reboots did not correct the problem and it looks like I will have to do a system restore and/or uninstall CSC since some sort of fatal error has occurred.

If anyone has any workarounds for this sort of issue I would appreciate your feedback. I think Comodo needs to take a good look at how well the current version of CSC deals with multiple user setups and CSC users in the meantime should be aware of the probability that there are bugs.

ElderSage,
See my posts on the CSC Bug Reports thread. I have had problems with Safe Delete on 2 Vista Ultimate SP1 computers, each currently running a limited user account and an Administrator account, ever since it was introduced into CDC. I used to have the exact same problem with Safe Delete when the Administrator account was disabled and my user account was the only active account. Disk cleaning works great, if I don’t use Safe Delete. The Create Restore Point function does work and I have found it to be indispensable because of the problems created by Safe Delete. I am thinking about renaming this CDC function on our computers to Unsafe Delete.
