Problem with extensions to decompress list in realtime scanning [M234]1[v6]

A. THE BUG/ISSUE (Varies from issue to issue)
[ol]- Summary - Give a clear summary in the topic title, NOT here.

  • Can U reproduce the problem & if so how reliably?: yes, 100%
  • If U can, exact steps to reproduce. If not, exactly what U did & what happened:

There is an issue with list of extensions to decompress being updated even if we click “cancel”.

  1. Open advanced settings, go to “Realtime Scan”, enable “Decompress and scan archive files of extension(s)” and click on the link to open a list.
  2. By default I have there “jar”. Let’s add there anything new, for example “zip”, and confirm.
  3. Now we change our mind and click “Cancel”.
  4. Close advanced settings dialog with “OK” - important!
  5. Reopen advanced settings on “Realtime Scan” panel - yet we clicked cancel the link shows “*.jar, *.zip” (list as well have them both).

The other way to understand this bug:

  4. Without closing settings change our view to anything, let’s say to “Exclusions”.
  5. Go back to “Realtime Scan” - the link shows “*.jar, *.zip” - that’s why closing advanced settings with “OK” in fact changed our settings.
  • If not obvious, what U expected to happen: When we click “cancel” it should really be cancel.
  • If a software compatibility problem have U tried the conflict FAQ?:
  • Any software except CIS/OS involved? If so - name, & exact version:
  • Any other information, eg your guess at the cause, how U tried to fix it etc: The only way to fix it is to close advanced settings with cancel as well.
  • Always attach - Diagnostics file, Killswitch processes list, dump (if freeze/crash). If complex - CIS logs & config, screenshots, video, zipped program (not m’ware)
    [/ol]

[li]if so, have U tried a a clean reinstall - if not please do?: no
