problem with blocking an address.

Hi there!!

I tried to block the following address: http://abci16.n1.gns.co.il/Banners/landback_012012_120x600_w.swf, by go to "Firewall>Network Security Policy>Global Rules>Add and at the window that opened I chose under the “General” section as the following:

from the “action” menu I chose: “block”
from the “protocol” menu I chose: “IP”
from the “Direction” menu I chose: “In/Out”

And then I chose from the underneath tabs as the following:

under the “Source Address” tab from the “Type” menu I chose: “Any Address”
under the “Destination Address” tab from the “Type” menu I chose: “Host Name” and inserted the above link into the “Host Name” text field.
And under the “IP Details” tab I chose from the “IP Protocol” menu: “Any”.

And after all these steps, the COMODO Firewall still didn’t succeed to block the above web address when I accessed it through my Internet browser.

Thanks in advance!!

atar.

I’ve attached this attachment to explain my words better.

Try the following Global Rule:

Action - Block
Protocol - TCP or UDP
Direction - In
Source Address - (An IPv4 Address Range) 62.90.149.200 - 62.90.149.207
Destination Address - Any
Source Port - Any
Destination Port - Any

Trying to use a host name with an address like the one mentioned will fail, so it’s better to use the IP Address(es) wherever possible. The range above is related to the site you mentioned.
