I’m having issues printing webpages in virtual comodo dragon. I suspect this is due to the sandbox restricting access to the printers.
Is there any way I can configure comodo dragon or CIS sandbox so it doesn’t restrict access to the printer(s)?
If I remember correctly printing is not possible from the Virtualized browser due to necessary restrictions to keep malware from affecting the real PC. I don’t know of any workaround.
I experienced the same thing. It is a restriction, yes. It is for security reason. That is why there is a virtual browser.
Workaround: If the website opened in your virtual browser is rated secure, select copy and paste the adress in a newly opened normal window and print content from there.
Thanks for your replies. I am aware this is for security purposes, and I’d be willing to compromise some security to have the printing functionality. I believe it is possible to change the CIS settings to specify files/registry keys that are not to be virtualised. There are so many printing files and registry entries I’m not sure which ones to add to the list of excluded areas. If anyone could advise me that would be great.
I find this really unacceptable and I don’t care what the reasons are. It sometimes negates the whole purpose of the Kiosk for me. For example, I want to ship something to someone and need to use Paypal to purchase and print the shipping label. To protect my Paypal account, I want to do this in the Kiosk but I can’t. This needs to be changed.
