Hi…I have Comodo on 3-4 compters, all on the wired network. How do I get the firewall to allow network printing? When selecting “allow all” it will obviously work. I am fairly new to Comodo. Thanks for any help.
To enable file and print sharing, the easiest way is to set up a zone that define all the IPs in your LAN (including your router) and then set that zone as trusted. To create a zone, open CFP and click SECURITY-TASKS-ADD/REMOVE/MODIFY A ZONE and enter the details appropriate to your LAN. Them in SECURITY-TASKS-WIZARDS-DEFINE A TRUSTED NETWORK, select the zone name you have just defined.
These two simple steps create two additional rules in the Network Monitor. These new rules are placed at the top of the rules list, as the trules are read top to bottom and these need to be tested first, before any block rules. These steps need to be done on all PCs that are running CFP.
