Printer sharing Blocked

I have two computers on a local area network using a wireless router. I use network magic to control the network. I have installed comodo firewall v3 on each computer. They run xp sp2.
printer is attached to computer #1. Computer # 2 can see #1 but can not access the printer. Network magic message says the firewall on #1 is blocking access. How do I set up cfw v3 to allow printer sharing. I had it set up and working with v2 but since the upgrade it doesn’t work.
If memory serves me in v2 I had to configure a rule setting to accept invisible application but I do not see that anywhere in v2 configuration screens.
Any help will be appreciated.

You need to setup a global rule.

G’day,

STEP 1
You need to set up a ZONE that encompasses al the IP addresses on your LAN (including your router).

STEP 2
This ZONE is then used in the GLOBAL POLICIES (one for IN and one for OUT) with the following parameters;

Action : ALLOW
Protocol : TCP/UDP
Direction : IN
Source IP : Zone (Slect the zone creatred in step 1)
Destination IP : Zone (Slect the zone creatred in step 1)
Source port : ANY
Destination port : ANY

Action : ALLOW
Protocol : TCP/UDP
Direction : OUT
Source IP : Zone (Slect the zone creatred in step 1)
Destination IP : Zone (Slect the zone creatred in step 1)
Source port : ANY
Destination port : ANY

These two rules should be moved to the top of the Global Policies list.

Hope this helps,

Are there any relevant entries in the logs?

What are “Application Rules” for “System Idle Proccess” if they are “Outgoing Only” we may need to change these.

Please post a snapshot of them
