Preventing Outlook from opening links

Hello,

I would like to be asked to confirm that I want to open a web browser (I use Firefox as my default web browser) each time I try to click a web link within Outlook. However, the only way that I’ve been able to figure out how to do this so far is enable Paranoid Mode, which is not time-effective for me due to the number of popups it generates. I’ve tried removing Outlook from the Trusted Applications list, but it gets added back every time I do. Anyone have suggestions on this?

Thanks!

Haven’t really tried blocking in Outlook (mostly KMPlayer and Wondershare apps etc) but can you try:

Defense>Computer Security Policy>Defense+Rules

Add>Select>Browse – (X:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.exe)
Select> ‘Use a custom policy’ – select ‘Customize’

Run an executable – click ‘(Modify 0/0)’

Blocked Applications>Add

Create a file group for your browsers or just select the file path of Firefox.

Sometimes if Firefox launch is blocked, an application may open the links via IE. So I place all browsers there.
