Predefined Policy for Windows Operating System-CIS stops asking ICMP Traffic[NBZ

The bug/issue

  1. What you did: I have created a predefined policy for Windows Operating System because it was asking for a connection to cFosSpeed servers at every boot of my PC
  2. What actually happened or you actually saw: CIS started logging ICMP traffic as it has asked (showed a alert pop-up), but it actually didn’t showed the alert pop-up. It started only logging the ask rule without really asking for it
  3. What you expected to happen or see: CIS asking through a ICMP traffic alert pop-up and let me decide to allow or block the traffic. And after that log the ask rule
  4. How you tried to fix it & what happened: I have increased the Firewall Alert Frequency Level to “very high” (it was previouly in “medium”) and the problem persists. I have verified and I already have enabled alerts for TCP, UDP and TCP requests, but the problem persists
  5. Details (exact version) of any software involved with download link: Not applicable
  6. Any other information (eg your guess regarding the cause, with reasons): Not applicable

Hello folks,

I have tried asking for help about this issue first and after EricJH help he instructed me to open a bug report. For a little background about the issue here is the link for the help “ticket”: https://forums.comodo.com/firewall-help-cis/global-rule-to-allow-windows-operating-system-udp-traffic-t67636.0.html

Well, I have created a predefined policy for Windows Operating System and after that CIS started logging the ask rule of my predefined policy, but without really showing the alert pop-up for the ask rule. I found it very strange and then opened this bug report looking for help.

See you later,

Aeolis
