Predefined firewall policies for email

Emails rules should include “http outgoing rules” just like web browser policies.
This make it possible to use “email client”.
if not, “trusted app” is the only choice, but not so secure…


I agree. I had to add an outgoing TCP rule so I could view emails in Windows Mail as ‘web pages’.

Ah, maybe I’ll need to do that. I reported a bug that with the Windows Live Mail application, using the predefined “Email Client” policy doesn’t let the application connect. I used to run it as “Email Client” in 3.5 with no trouble.
