I was playing around with VirtualBox when, while installing PotPlayer, I got the following alert from OA (snapshot).
I created a new virtual machine with CIS installed, installed PotPlayer, and had no pop-ups.
I know that Daum is a trusted vendor but isn’t this a sneaky way of calling out? Isn’t it malware behaviour?

Malware and non malware programs often use the same techniques. Using a certain technique in its self does not make a program malicious.
