Possible false positive: powersaves_setup_v1.21

Yesterday, it occured to me that COMODO internet security accused this setup of containing malware. This is the software needed to operate a cheating device for video games, as provided here directly by the manufacturer. It is to note that this is nothing highly obscure or illegal, just a common piece of equipment found in about every consumer electronics store. Every attempt of executing this setup or deinstall it without admin permission has since yielded two suspicions of “CloudScanner.Trojan.Gen[at]2[at]1” coming from different folders in C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp. While the folders from \Temp\ do differ, the command always lists the original setup file right after, if that is of relevance somehow.

Here is the VirusTotal report.

I understand that due to the nature of the software/device, the architecture may be similar to malware, but as software directly from the vendor, i’m inclined to believe it is largely harmless. I’d highly appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this.

Keehar
