Portable Cleaner - does it still use the registry ? Is 30% CPU load fixed ?

I had the same problem, except it happened after I used the portable version of Comodo System Cleaner, which I had already deleted before the problem was noticed. The solution I found was deleting two registry keys I found when searching in the registry for “comodo”. The keys had reference to “Comodo safe delete filter”. I exported the keys before deleting them (and can provide them if necessary).

I would think a portable version wouldn’t use registry keys?

I hope this helps someone else - I put 4 hours into this, and I’m a professional computer repair tech who knows most of the common areas to suspect. This was quite the puzzle for me.

I was about to use the Portable version running on a non-system partition or Flash Drive :-
CSC_SETUP_2.0.111095.7_xp_vista_server2003_win7_32bit.zip

Please advise me does this later version :-

1. Resolve the 30% CPU problem ;
2. Does it still put keys / Values in the Registry ;
3. If I press the Update button, will it launch the installer for the latest NON-portable version.
