Portable Chromium

For anyone who wanna use the open source Chromium browser as a portable app, with pepperflash working and easy to update, you can have a look to this open source software:

You can tune some settings on the chrlauncher.ini file:

  • download the dev release or the stable release (i.e., the same build of the current stable Google Chrome)
  • check for update once every day (on start-up)

Basically, when you launch chrlauncher, it first checks for updates (if you set it to do so). If it finds an update, it will update Chromium browser, otherwise it will launch it.

The only downside is that you will have to manually update pepperflash (for example checking this website Adobe Flash Player 32.0.0.371 | effect ∞)

It seems a nice tool. But how can we sure about its security?
All codes are open but I cannot read codes.

Can we trust it?

I always use this site to update the Chromium: Download latest Chromium release (64-bit and 32-bit)

This is a first step:

And the software I wrote about is advertised here http://chromium.woolyss.com/, which is the same website you use to update Chromium

Ahh I didn’t notice

Thank you seems a promised software. Thanks :-TU

You are welcome
