Popup Window location!

Can you fix/add/correct the “popup notification window placement” you know the one that ask to allow or block >:-D. Do not matter where I put this window on the screen, it always default to the down-right-corner. Which is kinda dumb sense the window you get if you click on the url to the file/program or whatever to see what it is. Get hidden behind this popup notification windows. BTW, that file is for TeamViewer if u like to add it.

Also please add an option to change the popup notification sound, everytime I ■■■■ my pants (yeah I know thats the point) but I’m just fine with a normal notification sound. And perhaps get notified when Comodo been updated? its been like months since I was asked to reboot or whatever.

PS: If you guys like us to use “Required Format For Reporting Bugs” make it simple, create a form like normal ppl do 88)

This is intended behavior. Imagine malicious applications that could disallow the user to make a choice / that could steal screen focus. It’s a frequent practice of security vendors.
However, if deemed necessary, you can create a wish request with the required format. I can see the need of an option that could disable this behavior.

These are known issues (already present in the tracker = forwarded to devs).

Well. Excuse me but you have to copy-paste everything. It’s not like you’re writing it from scratch.

In the meantime, I will move this report to “Resolved/Outdated Issues” section.
Thank you.

what? I did not say get rid of the notification window LOL I said, make it possible to move it, and save that location on the screen. Have a look at the image I provided you see why that would be a good idea!

excuse you what btw? its not clear what todo with the “Required Format For Reporting Bugs” all I saw was a big mess.

Sorry for the misunderstanding but in the mentioned screenshot you can see only the on-top behavior. I already said that’s intended.

Which part was/is a ‘big mess’ ?

1. Copy Format between dotted lines 2. Create new topic and paste format into it 3. Fill in format, replacing question marks with your answers

Do create a wish request in the appropriate subforum.
Thanks.

Yes, of course. But you also offers the ability to examine the file asking for permissions by clicking on the link inside the "“authorization request window” you can see on the picture. “7.hta” and underlined.

That the “authorization request window” is set to be always on top is obviously a predetermined behavior but was never what I wanted to speak up about.

For if you truly believe that the developers had in regard to cover, let’s call it “information window” the window you can see in the background. You saying indirectly that the developers are stupid!

In what ways you might ask?

Can you imagine that your colleague thought like this, Okay, we decide that "the “authorization request window” should be positioned bottom right. When the user wants to examine the file requesting permissions by pressing the link inside the window. We hide “information window” behind the “authorization request window”

sounds logical to you? Am I correct in that you initially did not understand that the window you see the background actually POPs up when you click on the link actually is one of your “services”? So I think you move this thread back where it belongs. For this is not a bug, where a bug still means something still with “that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways.”

(side note again, ability to edit ones post, this has to the only forum on the net where this is not possible)

I’m not sure at what page we’re at at the moment, I just want to chime in and say that currently there is already a bug report about the properties window being opened underneath the CIS alerts. If I understand your bug report correctly, you want to make it possible so if you move the alert window, the next time you get an alert it will open where you closed the previous alert, yes? In that case that would be more suitable as a wish rather than a bug report.

You can edit your posts in most part of the forum, however you can’t edit them in this specific area, you can do it in the main bug report area (before it gets moved to either verified, incomplete or rejected) but not afterwards, I believe that was explained to be because they didn’t want people to change the bug reports after they had been forwarded, however I do personally think that it should be allowed in this specific area since it’s the rejected area and such.

Finally someone that understand (no offence)

Yes and yes, your correct. Well, If the “windows” was saved in the first place, there would be no bug
