I was having problems getting Comodo to “remember” trusted applications and was told that I needed separate policies defined for XP and Windows 7 machines.

Is this true?

Do I also need separate policies for 32 and 64 bit??

Hello,

When a policy is imported from one OS (e.g., Windows XP x86) - the source, and applied to another OS (e.g., Windows 7 x64) - a target, a number of predefined OS-specific CES configuration elements of the target computer will be replaced with the ones from the source computer, and therefore, cross-platform/cross-architecture capability of the policy is not assured.
As a workaround I would recommend creating separate policies if necessary.
