Policy List Backup

Hi, i recently reinstalled CIS 3.9 because i was having some problems with conflicting software.

the problem is after i reinstalled, my policy list was no longer there.

i made a full back up of all the files, but i need to know the exact file that stores policies.

I am assuming you mean the CIS rules/configurations?
Did you export your configuration first?
If not, there is nothing you can do but rebuild your policy rules.

Copying the CIS files will not backup your settings. Your CIS configuration is stored in the registry, so you must use the built in CIS export/import function.
