hello, I recently reformatted my pc and have lost my certificate when I try clicking on the link in my email to re-downloaded it , I get a message saying that this isn’t the same pc as I download it the first time…
what can I do to get it back?
I still have a copy of my c drive that I made using Norton ghost before I reformatted my pc, if you could tell me where the certificate information is located maybe I could restore it and use it…

Unless you backed up the certificate with the private key you cannot re-intall it.
The only option is to raise a ticket with support: http://support.comodo.com

yup, i backed up my whole c drive 
so um where can i find the certificate???

Backing up the c: drive is not the same.
Backing up the certificate with private key backs up the registry entry.
So, as before, contacing the support team will get you a quick resolution.
Basically they revoke the one you had so you can re-apply for a new one…the old one is lost :’(

ok so i did that and now i have a new one… but when i follow the istructiond to back it up, it wont allow me to choose yes, its no by defautl and yes is phased out…

Sounds like you might have had an option set to make the private key ‘not exportable’.
Again, I recommend contacting the support team so they can take you through the possible options.
And it might be you have to go through the revoke and re-apply process again :-\
