I’ve just installed Comodo Anti-Virus. I have a bit of a problem: when I click on the ‘Firefox’/‘Yahoo’ browser icons a pop-up appears:

The feature that you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.
Insert ‘scan’ disk and click OK.
When I click ‘Cancel’, I get: 'error 1706. No valid source could be found for product scan. The Windows installer cannot continue.
This happens every time I try to open a browser.
I’d be grateful for any advice. If I can’t fix it I’m going to have to uninstall Comodo and reinstall AVG.
What exactly do you mean with "‘Firefox’/‘Yahoo’ browser icons "? You mean the shortcuts to start up Firefox and to Yahoo Messenger?
You are seeing a Windows installer related error. Comodo does not use Windows installer in the regular installer (however there is a msi installer but you would need to look for that one here at the forums).
Windows installer is most likely seeing left overs of another installation that also used Windows installer. Try Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to delete the information of the other installer it is looking for. Notice that this tool does not uninstall nor does it delete program data; it only deletes installer related information.
