Updated, and after the reboot required the problem was still there. But after two extra reboots it is finally gone and I am able to perform the scan.
Thanks for your help.
P.S.: Still curious, what is the SafeRegistry process actually?
SafeDelete process is based on a driver that simulates the deletion of some files/registry by denying access to them; when performing a cleaning using Safe Delete function a restart is required for the driver to take effect; after the restart, the user will check for any improper changes in the system’s behavior and if this is the case, then the user can choose “Restore” in the “Finalize/Restore” window of CSC. Basically, the clean process can be reverted if the user chooses to.
We could really use a list of the security software you have installed on your PC. We want to recreate the environment on your system, so we can track the source of the problem and fix it.
