Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED)

Hi
how do i stop this in the settings ?
Comodo ver 3022 349

Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) — Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since “Ping” is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation.

how serious is this ?

but your F/W passed other major tests here

i run this on custom policy mode - very high
your F/W is excellent thnx

TIA

Greetings!

Are you behind a router, or are you directly connected to the Internet (wired)?
If you use a router, it’ll be tested and not CFP3. If you want to test CFP3, you’ll need to be directly (wired) connected to the Internet.

If your not behind a hardware firewall then simply run the stealth port wizard and select the option to block all incoming connections.

I had the same problem. I logged into my router to stop ICMP and ping requests and then got full stealth rating.

correct me if i’m wrong but doesn’t shields up scan your router (since its your first line of defense), so it really has nothing to do with CFP?

I think it’s enabled by default on most routers, since it’s not really such a big security risk.

Yes, it scans the router first…
