Pending Files & Resetting to Default [HELP]

Hello!

I recently downloaded not long ago the PCFlank Leaktest application to test CP3 3.0…

Yes, It does pass the test;, But when Defense+ came up saying “PCFlank Wanted to Launch IE” (Thats what the test was for, or something like that) I clicked allow, and it failed (I thought it was to LOAD PC Flank tester it self)… lol so now I am failing the test.

I currently have nearly 2000 files waiting for review (Pending Files), but I really can’t keep going through them, I am not a computer wiz, I just want to use my computer for work, So I need help resetting the settings for pending applications.

Is there a way to reset pending files, remove them so next time they come around I can BLOCK/ALLOW those files properly (Like PCFlank)?

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Josh.

Hi Josh123

Just go to Firewall → Advanced → Network Security Policy → Application Rules and find the entry for PCFlank Test and change the allow to block and log. That should get you going

Use Purge - Lookup - Submit, in that order and it should take care of all your pending files. There will be some left until they get on Comodo’s safe list at which time they will be removed automatically to your safe list. If there are any that you do not want on your safe list just use the Remove button.

Hi John,
Still not clear. Every time I install/update software (Installation Mode) there is tens of new files in ‘Pending’ list. I never got results via ‘Lookup’ (and there is such pop soft as Avast, Foobar, Everest, even old games), so I just ‘Remove’ all these files, and all new/updated soft works well, no questions from D+ (Clean PC Mode). So ‘Remove’ function looks like ‘Ignore’ or ‘Forget Forever’ Am I right?
Thanks.

“Still not clear”, “Am I right?” Who are you??? Bill Gates?? lol…

Thanks for your help!!!

Remove any files from programs you trust. You select how D+ considers software when you get the initial pop up.
You can also alter these rules in Defense + > Advanced > Computer Security Policy, when in there Purge the list to remove any that are no longer relevant (click apply at the bottom of the window to make the purge changes stick!) then you can double click on any remaining if you want to alter their status to trusted, custom etc.

Thanks!
