Outlook Express Restore Problem

Outlook Express backed up from machine “A” as .cbu file. Machine “A” eventually dies (HDD crash). Trying to restore the Outlook Express .cbu file to machine “B” results in an error “Comodo Baxckup executable has encountered an error and needs to close”

My suspicion is slightly different file paths/user data paths between “A” and “B”, and the option to change the default restore path is greyed out and unavailable.

I’m now left with no emails and an apparently inaccessible .cbu file. I can’t believe that the scenario of Outlook Express backup with a prospect of restoring to another machine hasn’t been contemplated. Any way forward, please?



When CB crashes please create a dump file, so we can analyze it.



I’ve now raised a support ticket for this problem. All CB logs uploaded.
