Outlook 2007 connecting to Exchange

Outlook 2007 won’t connect to Exchange in our business network unless CFW is disabled
After disabling the firewall, connecting to exchange and reenabling the firewall there is no connection problem (mail can be received and send).
Is this is a bug in the firewall?
I made Outlook a trusted application and tried anything with respect to network zones, it doesn’t matter, when the firewall is on it does not connect when it is off it does and after connecting no problem.

What can I do about this?

This problem only exists in our business network and not in my home network.

I also have problems connecting to a network printer: disabling and reenabling the firewall does the job. I think it is same problem and it only occurs on the LAN network of my work.
This problem also prevents windows from login in to my windows account: windows does not go past the ‘Applying personal settings’ part, until I unhook the LAN-cable. After I’m completely logged on and all services have started I plug the cable back in. Then I start up Outlook and open the printerdialog, disable the firewall, connect to exchange and the printer and enable the firewall again.
Not my ideal of starting a working day. Does anybody have a clue what rule I should apply? Or how I can make our network a trusted network with such a wide IP-range (see below the export of a part of the firewall log, ‘Toegestaan’ is dutch for ‘Allowed’). As you can see there are no requests that have been blocked, but still Outlook does not make the connection. I suspect there is another process going that has been blocked. The strange thing is that no blocks are reported in the log).

My first guess is that you set up a trusted network for your home situation. Typically a router for home use will be in the 192.168. range. Your logs for work show the 172 range.

For your work you will have to define a new trusted network zone from 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255. That should do the trick.

A part of the problem has been resolved by this. Another part problem was the Kerberos verification protocol causing that I was not logged on and my profile couldn’t be loaded. This also caused the printer problem. Since I added the trusted network the printer became accessible but refused access.
