Outbound Policy Violation

Hello All,

I am using a Linksys wireless router on my network. My laptop connects to the router via wireless. When I logon to the laptop and look at the CPF logs, the Network Monitor is reporting an Outbound Policy Violation (Access Denied, ICMP = PORT UNREACHABLE). Protocol: ICMP Outgoing. Source: laptop IP address. Destination: DNS server IP address. Message: PORT UNREACHABLE. As a result, I get a substantial delay completing the logon process. When it finally completes, everything works fine. I think I may need to add a Network Control Rule. If so, I don’t know where it should be placed in respect to the other rules. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks.

Can you please post a screenshot of your current network rules so we can have a look?

TIA
