This false alert happens when a computer is responding quickly (under load). I see it happen on my underpowered netbook and hardly ever on my desktop computer.
It would mean that your system is under serious load. The alert I think is a symptom not cause. Can you describe in more details what you mean with losing control over your laptop?
My laptop stops responding to any action I take, for instance, if I try to open the task manager, it doesn’t open, neither the CMD. I’ve managed to find a workaround to avoid this situation, I just kept a video running in VLC on mute, and the laptop is working fine even if I leave it for a quite long time.
