OLD FORMAT - PLEASE DON'T USE IT!

WHY WE ASK YOU TO FOLLOW THIS FORMAT
Bugs/issues can be impossible or very time consuming to fix if developers don’t have enough information to reproduce them. Since CIS is free, development time is limited. So if you want your issue fixed, please use the format below to describe it. Further explanation regrading why we ask the questions we do, and why we use a standard format is here.

To avoid clutter, issues not described in the format below your post will not be moved to the ‘moderator verified’ issues topic. This means that the developers may not look at it.

Simple help and Gui text mistakes can be posted in the simpler format here. Please do this only for the following types of issues:

  • help text errors or omissions or broken links
  • simple GUI errors

By simple GUI errors we mean ones where it is clear that it relates to the GUI and only the GUI, with no involvement of underlying functionality.

BUG REPORT FORMAT.
All information items, except appended files and items preceded by ‘If’ or ‘Any’, are required for all issues presuming you wish them to be added to the format verified issues board.

Re appended files, the Active Processes List is always required, unless it cannot be displayed in which case a taskmanager screenshot is required instead. Dump files are required for all crash reports, and a dump file or a the zipped file that causes the hang are required for all AV scanner hangs. The rest of the appended files are preferred.

Red items in the format text are links to help. For example the link from dump file shows you how to create one.

To create a new issue report, please COPY AND PASTE the text between the dotted lines in one of the the formats or examples below:
