oGet

Using Opera browser & oGet plugin for Download managers (on Vista x64) I find that an update late this week appears to have blocked all oGet operations.

I have added the oGet files to the safe lists & given them full permissions but Defense+ stops them even when I disable Defense+ in the CIS control panel!!! :o 88)

Notably -
1.the installer is knocked out before it finishes (hangs using CPU cycles until killled via TM) but will install in safe mode & run perfectly.
2. The .exe ’ s are denied any form of access even from a file manager, even when CIS has defense+ disabled. Having booted normally this also continues to occur after CIS is ‘completely’ shut down…

This is highly irritating - as its taken me a while to figure this much out & I like using the prog!

Please see if you can fix it, but I won’t stop using Comodo if you can’t!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Still looking for a reason why this isn’t accepting my granting permissions to this file.
But have noticed this, does this help? I haven’t called the oGet setup but assume Opera has.

End of The Report

Can you post a ascreenshot of the events as they happen? That’s easier to analyse. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for huge delay in doing this.

Basically I get a flag - Could not start app’ when I attempt to run oget (generally via right click) or when its called by clicking a download link.
In attempting to add it to safe/trusted apps - Comodo says it is already in the trusted apps category. but see screen shot … it’s still being blocked on each call by opera.

I added oget manually to the computer security policy as ‘trusted app’ - still won’t run.

Please check Defense+ Tasks > Common Tasks > My Blocked Files it looks like some of those oGet files got moved there from My Pending File list (move to button).

Outstanding! That was it. Thanks!!!

I really don’t know how they got blacklisted when I went through the process of adding them to safe files manually (via the ‘my own safe files/add /browse’ dialogs… hence I didn’t even think to cross check this. & Comodo reported that they were already safe files when I tried adding them again. ???

How is it possible for them to exist in both lists?
-But I can see that if they exist in both, the default response should be to block, it would be nice if comodo could flag the situation.

It would also be nice to be able to search the file lists rather than wade through tem looking for an entry manually - or am I simply not seeing the tool for this?
