I have been reading the extensive information on the Sophos website about this new strain of ransomware which can encrypt not only the data files on your computer but also files on network or shared drives. I am a bit concerned that Comodo don’t appear to offering any advice on how to protect against this type of ransom virus. There is a free prevention tool out there but I don’t know how I can be sure this is a preventive measure or whether it could be the virus itself.
