Is there an NoScript extension, similar to the one in FF, available?
Is there an other extension for chrome/Dragon that will do the same job??
This is atm the only thing preventing me from switching, so info would be appriciated.

Not that I am aware of. When we move to the Chromium 5 codebase, you should have more control over JS, but nothing like NoScript presently exists on and Chromium based browser.

Thats to sad.
But hey, i´ll give it a shot anyway.
I mean, Comodo isn´t known to release lousy SW!
Thx for the answer.
Hi Sal
Do the developers (Comodo) plan on creating their own extensions for CD? I too would like to see a noscript type of extension added to CD.
I can’t speak for the developers.
I honestly don’t see it happening by us. Notice how Google AND the Developer of NoScript are having trouble coming to a resolution?
Ok, no problem. Just thought I would ask :).

Really? I would have thought Comodo would jump at the chance of creating the most secure web browser and leading the way.
If Firefox has noscript, then CD could have their own extension or any other extension to fully secure the user when browsing.
We would fundamentally be changing the product so much from the original form that any future updates from the original would be hard to implement.

Firefox is coded and structured differently to Chromium. That’s like saying iPhone/iPad OS should include Flash and Java because Android does. :o
Wouldn’t you (Comodo) rather adapt what you already have and make your own changes rather than having to wait for each new Chromium release? Of course, I’m saying this not knowing how many people you have involved with CD but if you had a large enough team, wouldn’t this be possible/preferable?

No, I’m saying that additional extensions (be it noscript, adblock plus, etc) are required because the browser doesn’t handle these features itself.
We’d have to fork the Chromium project if this was the case as so much of the code is tied to the APIs. It would nearly require a full rewrite of the whole browser in order get you what you’re looking for. It probably then wouldn’t even be Chromium any more. It would be yet another WebKit browser.
Google & the rest of the Chromium Community are already working on making Chromium more extensible. It is only a matter of time.

Nothing is REQUIRED only desired.
Sometime this week I’m going to play around with it (noscript) as see what can be done. Even if I can only get some of it to work. >:-D <----If I can get it at least some of the features to work, I’ll post my results and step-by-step process here and to the staff :-TU If I can’t, at least I tried
Just wait till we use Chromium 5 code base. You’d hate to do double work. Personally, I wouldn’t bother especially since Google and the NoScript dev(s) are presently working on a solution.
:-Dhi, i think everyone on this forum should do themselves a big favour and just use firefox haha.there are a lot of people here complaining that they cannot get this and that for comodo dragon.im sure its a fine browser.firefox is superior to the other browsers in many ways, thank you… :P0l
And… other browsers are superior to Firefox in many ways.
For example: Opera has many things built in to the browser by default that can only be accomplished on Firefox using bloated add-ons most of which are not nearly as good.
A few things Opera has had for years:
Built in ad blocking which is far superior to any add-on available for any other browser.
The ability to make huge images on a site fit the width of the browser window with the click of a button.
It really has no need for an add-on like NoScript. Instead you can globally disable scripts in the preferences and only allow scripts to run on sites you trust in addition to limiting them as to what they can do on those sites.
Allows independent settings for each and every site (domain) via the right click context menu using “Edit Site Preferences” including the ability to Identify or Mask as another browser in those settings for each site. Masking works well on lame sites that are setup to use Internet Destroyer.
Superior Tab handling and managment built right into the browser instead of relying on something like the bloated “Tab Mix Plus” etc. to attempt accomplishing the same thing.
Excellent built-in session manager.
Excellent built-in bookmark managment.
The very nice “Wand” password manager.
Excellent built-in e-mail, newsgroup reader and IRC client if you choose to use or activate any or all of them.
Built-in torrent client.
Excellent built-in download manager with resume.
The ability read pages and articles to you which is handy when you’re blurry eyed early in the morning. It also does a a nice job in doing so.
“Paste and Go!” Something so simple; yet after all these years Firefox still doesn’t have it.
Can be controlled by voice commands.
Etc., Etc., Etc. There are many, many more however I’m not trying to turn this into a pissing contest. I’m just trying to make a point which is this: Firefox is OK and I do like it, however it requires the installation of numerous add-ons to turn it into a nice browser. It certainty isn’t the end all to be all you try to make it out to be. It is lacking in a great number of ways itself.

This isn’t true i just used opera to go on facebook and i see ads, youtube: i see ads.
though i now have configured opera and i might start using it but the ads are killing me.
I have no idea what you’re doing or how you have Opera configured but after reading your reply I visited both sites using Opera and didn’t see any ads; not one! I’m a member of both sites so I’ve blocked the ads there on previous visits.
Nevertheless, are you right clicking on the page and selecting “Block Content” in the context menu, clicking on the grayed out items you want blocked (a red horizontal line appears on them that says: “Blocked Image”) and finishing it up by selecting “Done” at the top of the page?
Is the “Content Blocker” enabled in opera:config? Search for “content” to quickly find it. If so, is it enabled when your right click on a site page and select “Edit Site Preferences” in the context menu? There it can be enabled or disabled on the “Content” tab of that preference window.
If so, I have no idea why you’re seeing ads/ I"ve never experienced that. :o

Well i blocked the ad pictures but i still see the text ill post a screenshot.
You can try one of the ad block lists as listed by Customisation Wizard Tamil: The Opera Blog - News | Opera .
