I was surpirised to see norton get a detection rate of 16%. I have seen it achieve 80% and higher before. here is the video.

No surprise for me. Norton was never so bad but it was never really good at the detection. What is before? What system and what version? Can you post a video?

Norton has a really good power thanks to its FileRep tech to prevent the PCs from infections that’s why they don’t really care about detection rate …

I see. I find filerep unreliable.

That is true. there norton insight does a good job with file reputation.

What about new files? Many files are also unknown with such filereps and most of them are safe or malicious. Filerep comes from the community right? It’s an unreliable source.
