No whitelist?? OK? Got a problem then...

I work for a software company that sends electronic claims ftp ports 20 & 21 in and out on both.

We were working fine until a update to Comodo on 6/1/11

Added all exceptions for folder, program exe’s etc… still cannot connect

Went to support asking where I could send our program to get approved for the Comodo white list… and she said post on the forum??? lol Also, supports suggestion was to disable the firewall & defense… is this for real?

After reading other comments here it seems like even though you add exceptions they really don’t get implemented until a reboot of the pc… obviously i will try this but wow… is this for real?

No whitelist, reboots to apply exceptions, pop up on programs never ending even though I allow and save my choice…

Can you tell us more precisely what rule you made?

Try opening port 21 and 22 for incoming traffic.

Read the following tutorial I made. Substitute the port numbers and protocol for your situation.

To open the port TCP 1723 for example

First step is to determine the MAC or Physical address of you network connector. Go to Start → Run → cmd → enter → a black box will show up and enter the following → ipconfig /all (notice the space before /all) → enter → now look up the Physical address and write it down.

Notice that Physical address = MAC address

Firewall → Network Security policy → Global Rules → Add → fill in the following:
Action: Allow
Protocol: TCP
Direction: In
Description: Incoming Port

Source address: Any
Destination Address: Choose MAC address and fill in the found MAC/Physical address
Source Port: Any
Destination Port: 1723

Then push Apply → Now make sure that the new rule is somewhere above the basic block rule(s) as the bottom (the block rules have red icons); you can drag and drop the rules → Ok.

This is a support forum by users not by Comodo paid professionals.

The white list submission thread is to help Comodo prioritize what programs to add to the White list. There is also a corporate contacting point to request to make your company a trusted software vendor:

Making a program Trusted will not solve a problem that is related to incoming traffic.
