I updated my Dragon browser to v42.2.2.138 and when I went to go check my plugins because flash wouldn’t work, there were only 2! How do I restore the plugins that disappeared… The only ones I have are Chromium PDF Viewer and Chromoting Viewer…
I don’t want to update my Chromium to v42 until I know this won’t happen to it.
Hi CrossClown,
Support for NPAPI plugins is now disabled by default for security reasons.
NPAPI-Wikipedia
A temporary workaround is to enable NPAPI plugins is to type chrome://flags/#enable-npapi into the address bar and enter.
Select enable of the highlighted entry and relaunch the browser.
Note: The above workaround to enable NPAPI plugins is not recommended for security reasons and it will most likely be removed from version 45 and above (Estimate: September).
A better solution is to use PPAPI supported plugins.
For the Flash plugin, follow the steps below.
Using the following site.
- Select your operating system.
- Select FP 18 for Opera and Chromium-PPAPI.
- Close the browser and navigate to the recently download installer and execute.
Kind regards.
