no ipv6 support?

Hello All, I just tried Comodo yesterday because my old firewall kerio has been sold to sunbelt and my license is lost. So far Comodo seems great, except I can’t figure out how to get it to work with ipv6.

I have a newsreader (Newlseecher) connecting to my newsserver through ipv6 AND through regular ip. Somehow all traffic through ipv6 is blocked, but I don’t see Comodo actually blocking something that I can unblock to allow this. (hope this is clear enough (:NRD) )

what I did already:
-when set to allow all traffic it does work (ofcourse)
-searched manual and forum for ipv6

Welcome to the forum.
Have you tried to just close network monitor, instead of “allow all”?
Does it work?

Also, try to go to security/advanced/advanced attack detection and prevention/misc, and uncheck “do protocol analysis”, and see if it makes any difference.

Thanks. Turning off the network monitor solved it.
For testing purposes I also turned it back on, and then unchecked the protocol analysis - that didnt work. So I now have it set to have the network monitor turned off.

It is working for now, but this seems more like a workaround. Will this be improved in the future so allowing ipv6 is a choice, and network monitor can be turned on?

regards and thanks for the help!

If it works with network monitor off, you should see some kind of blocks in the log when it’s on. Try to check the log while using your newsreader, and see if there are any blocks.
You should have network monitor on to be protected.

you are right!

Do you use a router?
Have you made a trusted zone?

i have a router, no trusted zone.

You need to go to security/tasks and click on “define a new trusted network”, so the firewall will function as it should when you are behind a router.
