No Internet connection

Hi all.
I use Comodo Antivirus and today I added Comodo Firewall. Then I had no longer Internet connection. The related light on my modem was continuously off.

I verified several settings in Windows and everything seemed right. Windows was connected.

With regard to the firewall, look at here:

I saw a fully isolated computer. No connection was available.

Look at here:

I saw “Loopback Zone” only, so I tried to create a new connection. I added the connection I always use for Internet.
No result.

What’s wrong?

Hello

I can’t remember whether Comodo FW disables Windows FW during its installation.
If Windows FW is still activated, disable it.

Comodo might have changed your DNS to Comodo secured DNS

In FW Settings > Alert Settings, uncheck “Do NOT show pop-up alerts”
Set “Alert Frequencies” to Very High
Click OK

In Network Zone settings, check “Unable automatic detection of private networks”
Click OK

See if Comodo FW prompts that it found a new Network

I believe its suppose to disable the firewall via the configuration panel, but leave the windows firewall service running as windows uses it to harden services and inter-process communication.

Comodo FW automatically disables Windows FW.

It should disable Windows Firewall but it does not disable the Windows Firewall Service which is supposed to be running.

When you installed the firewall did you install on top of the AV? That may be troublesome.

What happens when you temporarily disable the Comodo Firewall? Does that fix the problem or not? This holds a clue to where to look for your problem.

I added the firewall by Control panel > Installed applications > Comodo antivirus > change.
Then I checked the two options in this way:

Comodo Antivirus automatically turned into the full suite.
Everything seems right.

You followed the proper procedure.

Can you post a screenshot of the Properties screen of your network adapter?

The inner network card of my PC is an Atheros AR8121 / AR8113 / AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller.
Its properties are split into a lot of windows and subwindows. Showing them is not convenient…

The modem is by Telecom and its properties are not shown.

I want to see the main screen as in this image:

Edit. On second thought. The solution to this problem may be the described in No network connection after using Stealth Ports Wizard (DHCP Broken) [v4]. It is written for v4 but the creation of a Global Rule still works the same.

Among the tips you gave me, there is one that draws my attention: the image of EricJH showing the “Comodo Internet Secuirity Firewall Driver” blue highlighted.
After I install the firewall I don’t see that item.

I think the whole matter failed just from the beginning.
