No internet conection until I disable Network defense

I have just downloaded Comodo this afternoon and had a problem loading it. It asked to run a scan which it did and before it finished the whole computer just shut down. I re-booted and everything didn’t load up that normaly does and Comodo didn’t load. So I reloaded Comodo, and it loaded fine and rebooted. It connected to net no problem and I then had to close down as I thought it was fine. I booted up this evening and it wouldn’t acknowledge the net. My wireless/lan connected Netgear had all the right lights going, checked all the telephone lines all ok. So it had to be Comodo. I disabled the Network defense and repaired the link and it work straight away. Put the Network defense back to ‘Safe Mode’ and its working great. Had to shut down again and then later re-booted and the same problem and repeated what I had done earlier and disabled Network defense etc. Not an ingenious on these things so really don’t no what to do to resolove the problem.

WinXP SP2

I find it difficult to comprehend how to resollve this as I live on morphine and the old brain doesn’t seem to want to comprehend the jargon. So if anyone could help and make it simple would appreciate it. The alterantive would be to delete it, reload and see if that resolved it. Or, completely delete it.

Hey Tony, Welcome to the forums.

What Security software apart from CFP 3 are you running,? and what else is on start up? WinsockXPfix can also help resolve internet connection issues.

Cheers,
