Newly detected network
Today CIS has detected a new network 169.254.170.123:24 and I do not offer any choice but to assign a profile: Home, Work, Public location.

But I am sure that this new network is NOT MINE.

I checked between the firewall rules, among (many) rules of the router, between my network cards, among other services that they can use a network such as the virtualization of Oracle VM VirtualBox etc. without finding anything.

I searched the internet with “Whois” and more generally on the specific address without finding anything.

Now I reboot the system hoping that the pop-up disappears and does not come back. But if he came back, what should I do?

Windows will assign you an IP address in the 169.X.X.X range when your computer fails to get an IP address from the DHCP server.
