Newbie Question - Defense+ Alerts drive me crazy when I run McAfee VirusScan!

First, I want to say I am a newbie and know very little about things like this. So, please bear with me if I ask something stupid.

Anyhow, I receive endless Defense+ Alerts, saying “mcod.exe is trying to modify a protected file or directory.” whenever I run McAfee VirusScan. This has never happen when I use other on-demand scanners like BitDefender, AVG and Avira.
Is it normal? How can I stop these alerts? ???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

That’s normal. Just tick - remember my answer and it won’t bother U again. And welcome to Comodo forums (:HUG)

And U can try whitelisting those programs too. If they are really safe :SMLR

WaterWall, thanks for your quick reply.

Hmmm… ???
The alert message seems to pop up each time my VirusScan begins to scan a new file. It is very likely I’ll get thousands of alert messages by the time the on-demand scan completes. ???
As for other AVs, I’ve never got more than 5 alerts.

I got it from AOL for free and not sure whether the software is safe or not. ;D
I wonder how other McAfee users handle it(, if they have the same problem),

maybe you should tick :
treat this application as … trusted application instead of ticking remember only.

when i do a scan with my antivirus or antispyware programs i do it offline and
i exit comodo and then do my scans and get no popups sometimes there is files in
my pending files after i scan and i just remove them and all is well
