Newbie inquiries on CSE and Comodo DNS on dial-up connection [RESOLVED]

I’m really a newbie and relatively no knowledge to using a secure email mostly I use only hotmail/gmai/yahoo mail from the browser itself. For a time I heeard about Comodo Secure Email and I want to try it out. I do not have an ISP email account thouhg…only the hotmail/gmail/yahoo accounts I have…

How can I use CSE at home? Can someone teach me to set-it up? ???

Also I am using a dial-up connection at home. And I would like to switch to Comodo DNS. How may I do that? ???

Are there issues with a dial-up usng Comodo DNS?

With CES and Comodo DNS on a dial-up connection…are there any issues or are there any points that I should consider/check? ???

I really like using CIS and I have decided to try more of your product. Please help me/guide me on this inquiries of mine.

There is lots of info here on how to install CSE and apply for a free certificate. But to get you started, you will need an email client to use CSE. Using free accounts such as hotmail/gmail,AOL, i have successfully setup the free Thunderbird 3 email client for these 3 accounts (couldn’t get free yahoo to work). However, the free certificate works with which email addy you provide - in my case “hotmail” so i cannot send encrypted mail from gmail/AOL and actually cannot send any mail except thru hotmail. This must be a bug in CSE.

– Oh is that so :(…I prefer to use gmail as it seems much faster here in my area and also with the dial-up network I am using. Also I came to prefer it due to logging problems with yahoo mail lately(…frankly I seldom visit my mail there nowadays).

On a personal opinion, is it advisable/okay to use CSE on gmail? I seem to remember something I read about gmail privacy not being good or something like that… ???

(Any comments on this question are openly requested…)

download the user guide here - http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-security/secure-email.php

select the “support tab” and then “download user guide”

And use the account that you send most of your important/personal email. When it comes time for you to retrive and install your free certificate - use internet explorer.

I’m sorry for the late reply. I was indisposed for more than a week due to some personal reasons :'(. I’ll still be starting to set it up this weekend. The tips and help were okay.

I’ll just start a new thread when I encounter problems if that’s okay.
