New zones are not immediately available for rules [NBZ]

The bug/issue

  1. What you did:
    Created a new zone. Do not close Dialog, but switch to tab “Application rules”. Edit a rule and try to use the new zone (e.g. allow request for destination = new zone).

  2. What actually happened or you actually saw:
    New zone was shown under “network zones”. New zone was not shown when creating an application rule.

  3. What you expected to happen or see:
    New zone should be available when creating an application rule.

  4. How you tried to fix it & what happened:
    After creating a new zone close all dialogs (click OK). The open Dialog again, go to “application rules” and then you can use the new zone.

  5. Details (exact version) of any software involved with download link:
    CPW 5.0.163562,1142 (perhaps I misspelled the version, but I could not copy it from the about dialog)

Well it is not exactly a bug. The same is for “port sets”. It’s due to the fact that configuration is updated only after applying changes. Edits in any dialog boxes stay in temp variables until accepting or canceling. So because they use as a source data from main config not temp one than they won’t show up.
