new zonealarm 9.2 vs comodo firewall 4.0 ithink

i your opinion which is better ??? ???
i know there will be bias but lets try to remain objective
im using avast 5 as an av if that matters 8)

CIS is the only security on my system.

Zonealarm is easier to use, but in Security. I don’t know. 88)

Inbound firewall? both…
Outbound Firewall? Comodo.
HIPS? Comodo, By far.

I prefer comodo, But you might prefer Zonealarm. I suggest you try them both and then choose your favorite.
(Don’t try them both at the same time!)

CIS is way, way better!I can bet my head on that, but you just try them and see for yourself.:))

edit:one more thing - you CAN NOT use ZA and Daemon Tools together. There’s incompatibility between them.

That is arguably irrelevant and unfair…Zone alarm does not include a hips and that is a HIPS test, Of course it’s going to score low on that test. You don’t expect something to do something it was not made for, do you?

darthfirefox wants to know which is better, and CLT is one way to find out… that the difference is that ZA Free is only a network firewall (and Comodo is firewall + HIPS).

installed the latest zonealarm free fiirewall on xp sp3. it took almost 10 mins to boot the pc and then 5 mins to initialize zonealarm. i have 512 mb ram and zonealarms requirement is 1gb ram. so i dont know the prob is due to this or zonealarm has the prob coz 9.1 worked flawlessly here but all version of 9.2 gave this prob. i tried several restarts but the prob was there. though 9.2 beta worked flawlessly here.

Since were going to ignore AV since your happy with AVAST. That leave the firewall left

Here’s some results of the PROACTIVE leaktests for many different firewalls (You got to start somewhere, this would be a good start when trying to decide on want firewall you want)
